I picked up this slightly used GSG Firefly 22LR pistol from a pawn shop Saturday. I paid $200 out the door. Come to find out, GSG made the Sig Mosquito under contract for Sig Sauer. When Sig discontinued it, GSG renamed it the Firefly. It feels solid and operates like a sig. Came with 3 magazines and all the original paperwork. Slight update: There was a burr on the right rail. I hit it with a file (Lightly) and that stopped the slide locking problem. Piece of shit still doesn't run well. 1 out of every 20 or so rounds doesn't cycle correctly, but I put another 100 rounds through it. Gonna clean it again, and this will be a trade in once I figure out what I want next.

GSG is owned by SIG Sauer’s parent company, and for many years GSG manufactured the SIG Mosquito. The FireFly is the same gun rebranded and with some improvements in reliability. I owned a Mosquito a few years ago and suffered many feeding issues. Those problems have been resolved in the FireFly.

Since SIG Sauer is no longer being exported from Germany to the US, the Mosquito is no longer going to be available from SIG Sauer. SIG should have never put their name on that gun.
