I have a 1999 prairie 400 4x4 its been sitting for a while but I did get it to fire and rode it around a bit but if you get on the throttle it doesn't want to go right away and when it does get up and go its sputters and backfires but will eventually get up to speed. I purchase a 1999 Kawasaki KVF400 Prairie most of it is in good condition. The main problem that I am having is with the reverse. When I start the ATV I can engage the reverse first (R-light comes on) give it the gas but will not move. If the fan comes on, the temp switch is bad. If it doesn't, with the wires still jumped, check for power at the fan.
