In my mind, I think it's really useful to get the ancient feat to get Scorpio Whip early on. For class feats, my choice is Diverse Lore, (I want to focus on knowledge, I think this campaign is very useful!). For example, @lvl 5: Animal form grants an attack bonus of +14 (heightened to third level) Using your own attack modifier is: 4 (from 18 strength) + 5 (level) + 2 (unarmed proficiency) + 2 (wild shape bonus) = +13 attack bonus. This makes it worse than the standard attack bonus from the form. Basically it lets you get a regular 2nd level class feat instead of spending it on a multiclass feat. It's more limited since you can't use it for non-multiclass archetypes but is generally going to be valuable.
